My work is primarily concerned with themes of abandonment, dereliction and the passing of time. A lot of my recent work has focused on derelict buildings particularly places that often go unnoticed rather than places of historical interest. I am also interested in abandoned vehicles and discarded or broken possessions.

Occasionally I create work by using imagery from old books found in charity shops or even bins which are then cut up and made into collages. By taking random imagery and placing them together I can create a new narrative.

I work in different mediums most notably painting, drawing, collage and photomontage. The starting point for most of the work begins with photography, which I use to make collages in sketchbooks and on the computer. Once I have developed a number of studies I then select the most interesting to form the basis of a new body of work.
